As a Reggio Emilia inspired school, we view the environment as the third teacher. The classroom at Woodland Nursery School is a place that is not only fully functional but also beautiful and reflective of the children's interests and learning. Each day, surrounded by nature,  students partake in inquiries that inherently incorporate Massachusetts early childhood standards, as well as 21st Century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and communication.  Having access to local trails, vernal pools, and the ever changing forest affords children the opportunity to engage in learning that sparks curiosity, promotes wonder and sustains interests.
