flow of the day

9:30 - Arrival, Exploration and Free Play in the Outdoor Classroom
Materials are presented that encourage play, experimentation, and exploration across developmental domains.
Teachers interact with children, observing and documenting which informs future curriculum based on child-led questions and interests.
    
10:15 - Community Meeting
The class gathers together to greet one another, take part in mindfulness activities, group sharing, Visual Thinking Strategies and discuss daily discoveries. 

10:30 - Snack
The class enjoys a community snack, starting off with a moment of gratitude.

10:50 - Small Groups & Extended Exploration
Children return to morning discoveries with additional materials and activities presented by the teachers. Questions and concepts are developed and investigated in further depth.
 
11:30 - Active Play/Cooperative Games/Forest Adventures
Children develop and strengthen large motor skills while engaging in climbing, balancing, running, and cooperative games

12:15 - Lunch, Story, Reflection 
The class gathers to listen to a story and reflect on their work, often making plans for next steps to further their learning and deepen the inquiries.

1:00 - Goodbye and Dismissal
