We are so excited to officially launch Woodland Nursery School- a labor of love and collective years of learning and dreaming about an ideal early childhood experience.
We met while teaching at Charlestown Nursery School in Boston, arriving there from various places, but with a common passion for learning and teaching. Since then, our friendship has developed, as have our families and our wish to start a school of our own- a place where children’s ideas are honored and valued, where teachers are listeners and learners, and where decisions are informed by research.
Woodland Nursery School began in 2020 as a playgroup of educators and families who wanted a safe, high-quality program for their children during the uncertain times of Covid-19. For years, we had dreamed and planned for the day when we would combine our passions for teaching, early childhood, and nature-immersion schooling and create a school for our children and community - All the pieces seemed to fall together and we decided it was the perfect time to launch Woodland Nursery School.
Woodland Nursery School is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care.
